034Motorsport is pleased to present our new Billet Aluminum Rear Differential Carrier Mount Insert Upgrade for the B6/B7 Audi A4/S4/RS4! The factory Audi rear differential carrier bushings have voids in the rubber damping medium, which results in excessive rear differential movement (twisting) under load. This movement allows for unwanted drivetrain slop (and sometimes clunks) that can be observed when accelerating, decelerating, and shifting.
These billet aluminum inserts are designed to fill the voids in the factory B6/B7 Audi A4/S4/RS4 rear differential carrier mounts, and limit rear differential movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. By filling the voids in the factory mounts, these inserts eliminate the associated slop and ensures that you're experiencing smoother shifting and throttle transitions, and an improved driving experience.
Installation is very simple, can be performed in minutes, and is completely reversible.

I am surprised there only 3 reviews for this product! I installed these last night in my 6spd, b6 with the stock rear diff mount and the difference is quite substantial.
I can't believe what a difference they make in shift and throttle feel. I really thought I wouldn't notice them too much.
The instructions need to be revised, there is no way to put the insert washer in with the nut attached to the bolt. It has to be pulled out further then that. This is really easy if you put a jack under the diff and take the weight off the bolt. Detatch the nut, and the bolt slides out easily. Then just use a pry bar against the sway bar to squeeze in the insert, put the nut back on and your done. Could be done in 15 min a side.
I just finished the install. Took me about 2 1/2 hrs start-finish. Shade tree skills and Craftsman tools. What a sick upgrade. With aerospace tolerances and superb engineering, they fit like a glove! Did have to set them by re-applying the nut and cinching it down. Backed it off and was then able to make everything fit. Also, there was just enough room to reach these mounts with the exhaust piping and sway bar mounted directly in front of the access holes. This installation did require a bit of Patience, perseverance, and a little jazz to get through. As I am easily frustrated when things don't happen as I visualized them to. Another note: Do Not forget to breathe! Overall, a five star product and a brilliant upgrade!!

I was an early tester for these, so the ones I received are not even as good as the ones you will get, but I am happy to confirm that they are amazing. These bushings went in really easily with really just two tools, a pair of 18mm offset box wenches (you can use a socket/wrench if you don't have offset wrenches). Installation was really fast, took about 20 minutes for me in my garage.
Initial driving results are impressive, the rear differential is noticeably more stable without any additional NVH (and I don't even have rear seats)!
Considering the price and ease of installation, this is a logical modification to do at the same time as installing a stiffer rear differential mount.
