We're proud to announce the availability of the Density Line Engine Mounts for B5, B6, B7, and C5 Chassis Audi and B5 Chassis Volkswagen models!
034Motorsport's Density Line Mounts are the new standard in comfort and performance. Our mounts are redesigned with performance in mind, and manufactured from high-durometer rubber for increased performance and durability, without sacrificing comfort. Density Line Mounts are void-free and fluid-free, eliminating the slop associated with the factory mounts.
The Street Density Engine Mount Pair is manufactured from 50 durometer rubber, which is approximately 10% stiffer than stock. Since the mounts are also void-free and solid-filled, the resulting mount is approximately 25% stiffer than stock. The mount bases are made from steel, and are much stronger than the factory aluminum ones, to cope with the added stress of spirited driving.
The result is greatly reduced drivetrain slop, crisper shifting, and minimal wheel hop, without any significant increase in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH) inside of the cabin. These mounts are a completely re-engineered performance solution, not just inserts for use with the factory mounts.
The Track Density Engine Mount Pair is manufactured from 80 durometer rubber, which is approximately 90% stiffer than stock. Since the mounts are also void-free and solid-filled, the resulting mount is approximately 120% stiffer than stock. The mount bases are made from steel, and are much stronger than the factory aluminum ones, to cope with the added stress of spirited driving.
The result is a locked-down drivetrain, solid shifting, and virtually no wheel hop. Track Density Mounts will cause a noticeable increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) inside of the cabin.

High-Durometer Rubber vs. Polyurethane:
Density Line Mounts are manufactured from high-durometer rubber instead of polyurethane for a number of reasons. While vulcanized rubber mounts are more expensive to prototype due to increased complexity of manufacturing and high initial tooling costs, rubber is inherently better than polyurethane as a damping medium for mounts and bushings.
Rubber is able to deal with stress under both tension and compression, while polyurethane mounts rely on the damping medium to be effective only under compression. Rubber is also excellent in shear, where polyurethane is ineffective, making it ideal for applications that apply a shear force to the bushing during articulation.
Rubber does not pack and wear like polyurethane does, which ultimately results in a long-lasting part with consistent performance and comfort.
Street Density vs. Track Density:
We recommend Street Density Mounts for all daily-driven vehicles. They offer a significant increase in performance with a minimal increase in NVH transfer into the cabin. Track Density Mounts are recommended for purpose-built track cars, or those who do not mind significantly increased engine noise and vibration in the cabin.
Please select Street Density or Track Density from the dropdown menu below. Sold individually. One vehicle will require 2 mounts!
Please Note: The nuts for these mounts should be torqued to the factory specification of 25 Nm (approximately 18.5 ft. lbs.). Overtightening these nuts can cause damage to the mount!
The installation of your 034Motorsport Density Line Motor Mounts for B5/B6/B7 & C5 Audi Models is a relatively simple process. You can access our detailed installation guide by clicking the icon on the left.
Man! What a difference! New mounts were done in an hour by my local guy. Old OEM ones were like old doughnuts run over by a tank. No more slop or vibration thru steering wheel. Allot mellower at idle as well. I'm sure they'll improve as they wear in. New clutch hooks instantly at stop lights. Sheer heaven.
OEM motor mounts are fluid filled and will wear out over time, these will last a LOT longer!
They were highly recommended and I see why!
I wanted the OEM feel but for a lot less, but in my opinion, the quality is higher than OEM given they'll outlast the OEM option.
Heard about these mounts on line and I did my research before buying them. Supposed honest mechanic wanted wanted over a grand for parts and install. I ordered the street density along with resistors and after about a week they arrived. Right out of the box they looked good and sturdy. The snub mount well in my opinion much nicer then the OEM. Installation there are a few how to's out there I checked them all out before I attempted the install. I would rank this about a 2 out 10 scale with 10 being a just screw it and take to a mechanic. I did the drivers side in like 15 minutes but the passenger side is a pain. Before you start go find you a ratcheting stubby wrench 13mm - i only had a 13mm stubby. It works great but takes forever- ratcheting would have save mega time. Anyway don't try to jack up the motor to remove the mounts- just drop the brackets it's a piece of cake. There's more to it but just those little tips will help. Don't forget to let the car down and run the engine before tightening the mounts back up. Do yourself a favor get these mounts and do it yourself you will save big bucks and you will be happy
Definitely recommended. My OEM mounts were shot after 120k miles and were completely gone. These make a really good replacement, with a tighter feeling and no noticeable increase in NVH.
I picked the street density fearing they would be too hard for an inherently rought 2.0 TDI but this was not the case at all. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that I have not experienced such a difference as others may report, probably because i should've gone with the billet ones.
01 A4 1.8t
These mounts are exactly as advertised. I did my clutch, motor and trans mounts all at once and the car shifts quickly and precisely. Slop while shifting is almost completely gone and it feels like it should. They do vibrate at idle and under load until 2200-2400 rpm at least for me. I've been told and have read that will loosen up. Its fine the way they are now. These mounts are like night and day with the old original mounts. And you dont need a lift to swap these in. A set of ramps and a jack and about 30 mins of your day. Great and easy upgrade!!!
A4 B6 1.8t Quattro 5-speed. I installed the Street Density engine and trans mounts. I had huge amounts of vibration at low RPM and high load. I was worried I'd went too far. A few weeks later while doing an oil change I decided to try adjusting the snub mount to see if that would make it better. Loosen the 3 nuts on the snub mount, rev up the engine and then let it idle for a bit, and then tighten the nuts back down. Worked like a charm! Now I want to drive my car again!
B7 A4 2.0T, CVT, APR Stage II. I've been driving around all day. it really is day and night compared to the stock mounts. So smooth and quiet, No vibe under load, motor feels planted. There is a tiny vibration when it's in drive while waiting at the light. But you really have to be looking for it to notice it. Awesome product. thank you very much.
I picked up a pair of these mounts for my B6 A4 3.0 (manual transmission). They bolted right in and made a drastic improvement in clutch feel, on-off throttle response, and overall performance. No noticeable vibrations, either! Highly recommended for the 3.0 V6.

When they say this will lock down your motor, and eliminate slop, they MEAN it! This is by far the best upgrade I've done so far, the high quality solid mounts DO increase vibration significantly, but shifts are smoother, as are corner transitions and there's a noticeable difference in just how smooth the torque comes on. THANKS FOR MAKING AN AMAZING PRODUCT! Highly recommend!
