034Motorsport is proud to offer our Billet Aluminum Transmission Mount Insert for the B8 Audi A4/S4/RS4 and A5/S5/RS5! The factory Audi transmission mount has a large void in the rubber damping medium, which results in excessive transmission movement under load. This movement results in drivetrain slop than can be observed when accelerating, decelerating, and shifting.
This billet aluminum insert is designed to fill the large void in the factory transmission mount, and limit transmission movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. By filling the void in the factory mount, this insert eliminates the associated slop and ensures that you're experiencing crisper shifts and a smoother driving experience.
This mount was thoroughly tested by 034Motorsport, JH Motorsports, and independent Audi enthusiasts before release. Installation is very simple, can be performed in minutes, and is completely reversible.

Really superb modification to the A5, I've got a UK spec 3.0 TDI and there is no cabin noise whatsoever. Shifts feel like a new car. I really can't think of any negatives. No weird shake when shifting up or down.
Something that is very important is that you should ALWAYS replace these bolts, as these are stretch bolts (torque to yield) from factory (20nm + 90 degrees) and they are not made to be reused. I appreciate that the instructions say you can, ElsaWin says you cannot. So you SHOULD not reuse these.
Also, don't do as I do and jack only one side of the car up, as the bolts will come out askew and cross thread, because they are made of cheese you will then snap the head off. You then need to take the entire tunnel cross member out, then take the gearbox mounting and support off the gearbox whilst supporting the gearbox with a jack. You can't drill the bolt out in situ as the rubber bush vibrates and it's a heck of a long bolt anyway. You can purchase a new mount and support for about £90 so just take the lot off and then start anew.
Not fun so jack both the fronts up so that the gearbox doesn't sit at a weird angle!
I torqued these up at 20nm with some blue loctite. Alternatively if you go by what Audi says, go 20nm + 90 degrees. Pay attention as you could keep tightening these because of the rubber mount until the bolts snaps so use an accurate torque wrench! The bolts break around 35nm or less which is very little. 20nm is very low so pay attention.
Can't wait to fit the diff mount as well. Thank you 034 Motorsport for your development!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just had this installed on my 2014 S4 6MT, all I can say is that I no longer feel the need to get a short shifter.. It makes every shift cleaner and more precise whether I am in stop and go traffic or ripping it on a back road.
Fitted this to my 1yr old A5 cabriolet, as i noticed the S-tronic gearbox would jolt when going into first when coming to a stop. Fixed the problem, and the manual paddle changes seem crisper too. Highly recommended.
I bought one of these because the 1-2 shift on my manual transmission S4 always felt sloppy and clunky. Reviews on web forums were positive and for the money it was a low risk investment. I immediately felt an improvement in the 1-2 shift and all other shifts after installing the 034 tranny mount. Everything shift is crisper now and you can feel the power is getting road quicker. Definitely worth the money.
Great product definitely improves the gear change feels much more positive.
Only downside is it causes a lot of vibration back through the cabin at idle if you have a diesel.
I have now removed mine because of this.
After seeing the article on Fourtitude website about this tranny mount part from 034 Motorsport, I bought two.
One for my 2012 A4 with a 8 speed CVT transmission and another for my wife's brand new two month old 2015 A4 Quattro Prestige model I custom ordered for her in early June and that arrived in late August, and which has the 8 speed tiptronic tranny.
The results are a major GRIN when driving both cars! The driving characteristics of the cars are most definitely enhanced and the effect is not subtle at all.
I noticed it immediately on both cars, as the other comments above have noted. Tighter, smoother shifts across the board with the that occasional 'thump' especially when stepping on it or during fast down shifts into the lower gears being essentially gone!
The sense is that the car feels almost a half second faster, though this may be maily perceptual due to the increased smoothness and solidity of the transmission bit quicker as well from the shift stability. In any event, the car moves forward effortlessly with no small jerks or hesitations whatsoever.
For $75.00 and the short time it takes to install, it's a total steal and I can't imagine anyone being anything but very pleased with this purchase.
Service was good too, and I had our two pieces in hand the following day by UPS.
Took the car for a drive afterward the install and the transmission does move a lot less. The jerking from 1st to 2nd, 3rd to 4th, 4th to 5th and 5th to 6th was practically eliminated. The only jerking I still noticed was from 2nd to 3rd. All in all I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to all.
I've had this on my car B8A4 about 10 days or so now. I can say the shifts don't have a jerk to them any more, even under WOT and the car shifting at redline. Manual and automatic shifts (normal and sport) are nicer. There's no extra noise or vibration from it either.
