034Motorsport is pleased to present a new performance dogbone mount (torque arm bushing) insert upgrade for the MkV/MkVI Volkswagen & 8J/8P Audi!
Have you increased the power output of your vehicle beyond the factory figures and are in need of a performance mount solution to effectively deliver that power to the ground? Are you tired of excess engine/transmission movement hindering shift quality and performance? The factory dogbone mount is one of the weakest links in the drivetrain, and is engineered with voids that allow for movement, isolating the driver from the road.
This precision-machined billet aluminum insert is designed to fill the large voids in the factory dogbone mount, and limit transmission and engine movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any perceivable additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. By filling the void in the factory mount, this insert eliminates the associated slop and ensures that you're experiencing crisper shifts and a more direct, connected driving experience.
Engineered to work in unison with the factory rubber mount, this insert was designed using CAD software and thoroughly tested and refined to provide noticeable slop reduction without introducing excessive noise or vibration into the cabin, which is common with lesser designs. Unlike polyurethane insert options on the market, this billet aluminum part will not pack and wear over time, and guarantees long-lasting performance.
This mount was thoroughly tested by 034Motorsport and independent Audi/Volkswagen enthusiasts before release. Installation is very simple, can be performed in minutes, and is completely reversible.

034Motorsport Billet Aluminum Dogbone Mount Insert
The installation of your 034Motorsport 2009+ MkV/MkVI Volkswagen Golf/Jetta/GTI/GLI & 8J/8P Audi TT/A3 Dogbone Mount Insert is a relatively simple process that will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. You can access our detailed installation guide by clicking the icon on the left.
Installed it on my '09 Rabbit. It took more time to remove the OLD poly ECS TUNING insert than it took to install the 034 billet insert. This is one of those mods that you install and forget it. It's quality and it fits like a glove. Far less vibration than that poly piece of degraded crap. It's worth it!!!
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have a 2014 Jetta gen 3 1.8t and was getting slight wheel hop stock. I got a JB1 module and that only amplified the wheel hop with the extra power.
I needed something to help remedy the problem. I looked into other things to help stiffen things up (new pendulum mount, engine mount, etc.), but it seemed to me an insert would be the best bang for the buck.
After doing a ton of research, I thought there was a good reason this insert was made of METAL instead of what the competition was making theirs out of. And I'm glad I bought this one.
Easy install, put it on ramps, put jack stands under for safety, used a breaker bar to get the factory bolt out, put the mount in with a torque wrench and new bolt, torqued it to spec and drove it off the ramps.
Took it on the the highway for some full throttle runs and there is ZERO wheel hop now. The car sounds even better now. I do get a little more vibration at a stop but from what I've read, it should get better over time.
If you've done anything to increase the power of your car, I would HIGHLY recommend this product if you want to get all your power to the ground.
I have a 14' Jetta 2.slow. This insert is awesome, took longer to drive the car onto ramps than to install it. It adds more vibration of the engine definitely when starting in 1st gear, but you get used to it and I like it cause it feels like your more connected to the car. It improved throttle response a bit, and I have 235 width tires on my 115hp 2.slow (will never be fast in a straight line but I can keep up with anyone in the corners) and now I can chirp the tires going into 2nd gear, whereas before the insert I could only do so with my 205 radials that came with the car. Really makes a difference. Shifting is also more crisp and since it limits the engine movement, it always wants to go into 2nd gear no matter how hard you push the car, whereas before I'd miss 2nd gear cause it wouldn't wanna go in because of how much the engine/Transmission moved. There's more vibration starting in 1st then even reversing up my hill with the AC on, contrary to some people saying it's worse in reverse. It just depends on your engine and car setup. You will probably see a bigger improvement with a 2.5 or turbo motor, since those actually have power haha, but I'm just reporting the gains I got, even with my tiny engine. It may alter the refineness of the interior NVH, but who cares because race car.
I have had this installed for roughly 30,000 miles and love the quality of the build regarding how this has held up. It is not uncommon to see threads about poly inserts being chewed up after being driven hard. This mount has been outstanding and hasn't negatively impacted the car at all. Solid product and a must have for an mk6 GLI like mine.
It went right in and now i know longer get the occasional slop in my DSG shifting i was having. Install was super easy it took more time jacking up the car and putting jack stands than it did to unbolt and bolt up this part.
If you really focus and try to feel for it you can feel some NVH but you will no longer feel it after a few minutes of driving and i never noticed it again. There was some NVH when i would first take off in 1st gear like crawling but after a day of driving or so i never noticed it again.
Had it for few months now and love it, best ~$40 ive spent on the car.
Now to do the engine and trans mounts from them to complete the system.
Got this for my daily driven 2011 VW GTI DSG several months ago and it made a noticeable positive difference. It does indeed remove the slop and there is almost zero NVH. In my case almost zero means a slight shudder when reversing but only occasionally. No problems with the AC on even in stop and go traffic on the I-95. The installation from pulling the jack and stands out of the garage to putting them back in again took at most 15 minutes. The bolt came right out with a socket and breaker bar and went back in without issue with only the front of the car jacked up. I reused the original bolt and torqued it to spec minus the 90 degree turn. Well worth it for ~$40 in my opinion.

great product, makes it super stiff, and can feel the difference instantly. want to get rid of the shitty ac driving when taking off from a stop and its sluggish, then you need this mount. great product.
I have a 2009 CC Sport running APR Stage 2 software, APR Stage 2 Intake and a USP Downpipe. I had installed a polyurethane insert from a competitor. While I was happy with the decreased wheel hop and the more general feeling of solidness, I was a bit haunted by the harshness it introduced to the cabin. In drive and reverse, the engine vibration was pretty harsh, not to mention the clunk feeling when it actually engaged into gear. I was not happy with those aspects of the polyurethane mount.
When I saw this product introduced I knew I had to have it. Maybe it would resolve some of my harshness, and it looked a lot more durable. I purchased it almost immediately and installed it nearly as quickly.
Upon removing the bolt and washer from my polyurethane mount I was greeted by a broken down lump of rubber. It looked as if it had half melted and half shattered apart. I spent nearly 20 minutes trying to remove the pieces. It continued to break apart as I was prying and twisting it out.
I then installed the 034 Aluminum insert with a new stock bolt (N10558002). I was greeted by an alleviation of some of the vibration and harshness of the polyurethane mount, however I did not experience any wheel hop and the general solidity of the transmission/engine remained. I can also rest assured this one won't melt/shatter and break into a hundred little pieces should I choose to remove it. My wife even noticed how the car feels more smooth at idle and at highway speed compared to the polyurethane mount I had previously.
Bottom line, I would suggest you purchase this before even considering a polyurethane insert for your stock mount. It gets the job done well and will clearly hold up much better. Worth every penny of the purchase price and very easy to install.
I have a 2015 GLI thats bone stock and i was getting SICK of the movement that this motor has and how much i feel is lost in terms of power and torque when accelerating ESPECIALLY with the A/C on. After some comparing of different brands and materials they use I decided to order this oneand I dont regret it at all. First thing i noticed right away was that at idle I feel absolutely NO difference. Upon take off is when you notice your first difference in terms of vibration but it's absolutely minute. Upon regular acceleration theres not much of a dofference but still some vibration there. My favorite part is when I get on the throttle, boy does the sound So much more PURE! driving with the A/C on was actually easier since I have less engine movement it actually helped with shifting. Shifting is slightly noticeable in the smoothdepartment due to some lost slop, not a great difference but much nicer nonetheless. I would absolutely recommend this insert to this that are looking for a small mod for a smal amount of money.
