High Flow Racing Catalytic Converter, B5 & B6 Audi A4 1.8T
034Motorsport High-Flow Catalytic Converters are designed to replace the restrictive factory catalytic converter, and allow for quicker spool while increasing horsepower and torque throughout the powerband.
We construct them from stainless steel tubing, and utilize a high-performance 250-cell stainless-steel-matrix cat. They feature precision flanges to prevent warping and expansion, factory-correct exhaust hanger location, and 2 oxygen sensor bungs in the proper locations for the factory sensors. Full 3" tubing is used throughout.
Complete drop-in upgrade; will bolt up to any stock/stock-fit turbo and stock/stock-fit exhaust. Professionally assembled in-house, TIG-welded.
Fits both Manual and Automatic transmissions.

Sounds great with paired remus mufflers, would recommend to everyone, Instant power gain, noticeable. Initially installed, had no sound difference, was very upset, after about a week the HFC was broken in and now sounds amazing, not too raspy. Paying $550 shipped to Australia was a bit stiff, due to the pricing im rating this a 4. Other than that I love it.
Very fast delivery to Sweden, ordered it on the Sunday and got it on the Wednesday the coming week. Fits perfectly, no need for any changes or anything, just remove the old stock cat and assemble this one, and still go with the stock exhaust system (will get a sports exhaust system later on as well). Noticed a big difference at once when going out for a test drive feeling that you could throttle longer on each gear and gained a much better torque and increased HP. Definitely a "must have" product!
Really nice looking HFC. Noticeable power increase even before tuning. Just be sure to put some thread lock on the bolts from the cat-back. Two of the original bolts fell out within a week. Also, the flange to the stock cat-back didn't seem to match. had to drill the stock flange a little bigger to fit the bolts.
Purchased and installed on my 2000 Audi A4. Opening the box it was packed very well in a sturdy box. First thing you notice is the what could be described as perfect welding of the flanges and o2 sensor bungs. Everyone likes shinny new parts but I was actually rather excited after receiving this HFC. Upon initial install (chipped ECU, but stock exhaust otherwise) I was able to notice a immediate power gain, faster spool up, and boost did hold at peak longer as well. The exhaust note did change just enough to notice. A lower throatier rumble was present after install, but again only in tone. The exhaust itself did not seem to be any louder than stock. Install was easy enough, as long as you have something to hold the car up while your underneath, and a simple socket set, extensions, and in my opinion a good allen wrench set (half shaft heat shield, don't need to take it out just gives a little more room) and a o2 sensor wrench your good to go.
Now that the HFC has been installed for around a year I can report all is well. There is heat discoloration on the metal, but so far no surface rusting (Wisconsin weather...everything metal that's not painted and lives outside has rust). Over the last year a full exhaust system has been added and the spool up is even quicker and boost holds even longer, and I know it wouldn't do as well without the HFC.
I would recommend if you want something more out of your 1.8T, but aren't ready to jump to a bigger turbo. One of those little pieces that I feel is worth the HP per dollar. Especially if you want to avoid the stupid kids chopped up exhaust sound you get with a test pipe, but like the idea of the benefits.
